The Pine Forest Media Adventure Begins

Hello everyone, My name is Clark Marchese, and I would like to announce the launch of a brand new production company called Pine Forest Media. 🌲

In the ever-evolving world of digital media, Pine Forest Media is an emerging player in the field of science communication.  

Science is everywhere we look. It explains how your smartphone responds to touch, how plants turn sunlight into food, and how your brain is crafting thoughts right now. 

The final step to the scientific method is the presentation of results. But there’s still a gap that we aim to close between scientific research and public awareness.

Often the scientific field can seem jargon-heavy and highly technical. Many scientists also carry the unofficial burden of communicating their results to two separate audiences - their thoroughly trained colleagues and the rest of the world. We offer support with the latter. 

Our mission is to bring science to the internet through accessible, creative, and critical podcast journalism, making complex topics approachable for a broad audience. 

We also like to take it one step further by offering a Science AND approach. Every one of our series will be dedicated to exploring the interaction between science and history, science and policy, science and money, science and art. 

Podcasting is the perfect forum for just this kind of storytelling. Not to The long form medium of an audio series allows the time and space to dig into complex issues, broadcast multiple voices, and cover stories more comprehensively - all while contributing to a more diverse and inclusive media space.

In that effort, we’ve got a collection of shows lined up for release in 2024 covering topics from the global pressures on our drinking water systems, the story of how plastic has taken over our lives, the cutting edge of Antarctic research, and the magical underground kingdom of meerkats. 

Pine Forest Media is not just a content creator but a community builder, seeking to foster connection and action among our listenership and inspire the next generation of science baddies. We challenge the idea that in science there isn’t space for everyone so from the science enthusiast to the simply curious - we are speaking to you.
